Join us for a full weekend immersion into our lifestyle at Alegría Village!
This 3-day Pre-Envision experience will give you a taste of community living in an ecovillage in Costa Rica, and has a bit of everything! Farm-to-table dinners, yoga in our new shala, a tour of Alegría, relaxing swims in the Machuca river, organic gourmet meals, community circles, cacao ceremonies, and ecstatic dance with DJ Mose!

Come for the entire weekend, or just for one day or a dinner on the farm! We’ll be staying in glamping tents at Mariposa Retreat Center at our sister ecovillage, Tacotal Collective. Please reserve your all-inclusive ticket below for the day(s) you will be joining us!

TICKETS
Each glamping tent has 1-3 beds, with sheets and pillows. Please indicate if you are a couple and would like a private tent, or if you would like to stay in a shared tent with fellow guests/future best friends. The retreat center has composting toilets and outdoor showers, and has a private swimming area in the gorgeous river the Machuca.
Prices for glamping are priced per person and are all-inclusive - the price includes your ticket for the farm-to-table dinners, ecstatic dance, yoga, lunch, etc.
Friday’s Glamping package includes: Valentine’s Day farm-to-table dinner, cacao ceremony, overnight stay in glamping tent, Saturday breakfast
Saturday’s Glamping package includes: Yoga class at Alegría, lunch at Alegría, dinner at Mariposa, party at Mariposa Saturday evening, overnight stay in glamping tent, Sunday breakfast
Sunday’s Glamping package includes: lunch by the river, farm-to-table dinner at Alegría, cacao ceremony & ecstatic dance with MOSE, overnight stay in glamping tent, Monday breakfast

FRIDAY:
4:00pm: Arrive at Alegría Village, park, check-in (luggage will be transported to glamping tents)
4:30pm: Opening circle
5:00pm: Valentine’s Day farm-to-table dinner in our gardens
6:00pm: Cacao ceremony
6:30pm-7:30pm: Music & movement on yoga shala
8:00pm: Hike (or drive) down to glamping resort for late night festivities
SATURDAY:
8:00am: Breakfast at Mariposa
9:00am: Hike to Alegría Village
10:00am-11:00am: Yoga at Alegría
11:00am: Snack
11:00am-12:00pm: Ecovillage Workshop
12:00pm: Lunch in the Alegría garden dome
1:00pm-2:30pm: Tour of Alegría and hike back to Mariposa
2:30pm-5:30pm: Chill time at the river & Mariposa
6:00pm: Dinner at Mariposa
8:00pm: Live music at Mariposa
SUNDAY:
9:00am: Brunch at Mariposa
10:00am: Optional river hike
12:00pm: Lunch at Mariposa
1:00pm-4:00pm: Free time to explore, nap, hang at the river
4:00pm: Hike back to Alegría yoga shala (about 30 minutes, or catch a ride if your legs are tired)
4:30pm: Opening circle for dinner
5:00pm: Farm-to-table dinner in our gardens
6:00pm: Cacao ceremony
6:30pm-8:00pm: Ecstatic dance with DJ MOSE!
8:30pm: Night hike or drive back to glamping tents
MONDAY:
8:00am: Breakfast at Mariposa
8:30am-9:00am: Check-out
9:00am: Transport to Alegría parking lot
10:00am: Shuttle to Envision Festival *please reserve your shuttle ticket separately

*If you plan to go in the river, please only wear all-natural sunscreen or products (or rinse off at Mariposa before you swim)
DIRECTIONS
Alegría Village is located in the hills above the small town of San Mateo de Alajuela, about an hour west of San Jose. Our main entrance does not require a four-wheel drive, and you can drive in and park right next to our yoga shala.
If you are driving, please put “Acceso Norte Alegría Village ” into Google Maps. Unfortunately Google and Waze find two entrances for Alegría, which can be very confusing! Make sure your directions are leading you to the correct entrance, which is on the Maderal Road that originates in San Mateo:
If you don’t have a car, you can take the bus to either San Mateo or Orotina, and then take an inexpensive cab to the Acceso Norte Alegría Village. We can even call you a cab we know and trust so you won’t get lost!
